Eastern Paranormal Investigators Community, otherwise known as E.P.I.C., is a group of individuals whose own experiences and passion for the paranormal has brought them together to research and help others understand some of the mysteries that surround us.
We are based out of Haywood County in Western North Carolina but our members reach farther than that. We all come from different backgrounds and beliefs but band together for a common ground. Although we are all reaching in the same direction we do have different motivations. Whether it is solidifying our own beliefs, the thrill of experiencing the unknown, or just plain curiosity, documenting and helping others is the main reason for the formation of E.P.I.C.
E.P.I.C. was established on Halloween night in 2005 by Jeremiah Greer and Brent Englert after a trip to a local cemetery. Both were long time friends and have always be interested in the paranormal phenomenon. Most of their talk consisted of UFO's and aliens. Then just before Oct 31, 2005 after hearing a radio show discussing ghost and ghost hunting, they decided to visit a local cemetery with cassette and digital recorders in hand. Of course nothing was expected to be taped and their hopes weren't set high. A total of 45 minutes of recording was done. They drove to Brent's house to review the recording and was astonished when they discovered 4 very clear EVPs. Thus came the decision to start a group and further their own interest as well as others.
